 lection responds to the centenary of the sinking of the SS Koombana of
 f the North West coast in 1912 which is being commemorated by the Port
  Hedland Historical Society in March this year. Bogucki has spent mont
 hs researching the wreckage focusing on an urban myth of a rare black 
 pearl that supposedly sunk with the vessel and the seventy-three crew 
 members who perished on board to create a collection of precious momen
