Sterling is a dedicated contemporary jewellery and object retail store, situated in the heart of Sydneys CBD. Sterling is located on the ground floor of the gaffa gallery creative precinct in the original ‘enquires room’ of the heritage-listed c.1891 Clarence St Police Station. Sterling profiles some of the most promising emerging jewellery makers, as well as
showcasing, glass and ceramics from Australian artists and designers.

Sterling not only presents the final product, but also promotes a ‘behind the scenes’ look at the processes involved in the handcrafted object. Screening images of jewellers at work, scans of concept sketches and early
mock-ups, it allows the customer to garner a further education into the ever-growing popularity of the contemporary jewellery and object market.
