How do I send work from New Zealand to Australia for exhibition:eg:customs ,duty etc?

Does anybody know what is involved when either sending or physically bringing pieces into Australia from New Zealand for exhibition.

Is there duty involved,custom clearance etc?

I was asked to bring pieces over in the New Year to Sydney-but how does it work?If I carry them on my flight will customs try to charge me duty ?

Tried to find more information on Australian customs website-but it does not include pieces that sell whilst on exhibition..

Any help greatly appreciated!
