Hi fellow Sustainability in Jewellery members,

I'd love to invite all of you who are in Melbourne, Australia to join us for

Once More, With Love at Northcity4!

For more info on Once More, With Love (OMWL), click here.

The more the merrier - OMWL is a travelling exhibition with accompanying events and it's all about sustainability, recycling and ethical production in jewellery.

We're really wanting OMWL to harness and futher dialogue of these issues already occuring within our local jewellery communities (such as found in this group) and raise awareness with the broader public.

In this 'Sustainability and Jewellery' group, everyone has a mutual interest in furthering sustainability within our field... so we'd love you to come join us for discussions about "Sustainable Jewellery" at the Conversation Forum.

And if you like to get your hands busy, come skill-share ethical making at the Weekend Workshop.

For more details on the OMWL project, see

Thanks, and Happy 2013!

I love a bit of theory with my practical. Research is great fun, if you can get paid for it. Thanks Sarah

Quite a while ago I found a source for certified organic cotton waxed cord. The products name is Blue Bird and its made in India, however they only sell in in large wholesale amounts. So I did some searching and have found Maine Thread Company do sell it in 100m spools they just dont say its certified organic. A spool of 2mm black has just been delivered and its a great product. I have been running low on organic cotton cord since my first supplier vanished so It will be nice to have a reliable source again.

Spring is finally happening here in the southern hemisphere and we (Utopian Creations) are already booked up with commissions right through to the end of December. We are always looking for interesting fashion jewellery to sell in our shop Studio Eco so jump on our website and send me a message if you have any cool eco collections.

Have a great weekend!

Hello all

Recently I sent everyone a message asking for participation in a survey for a university project.  Just wanted to say thanks for helping me out.  Much appreciated.

I was a very interesting project but I am glad to get back to the workshop!

Thanks again

Vanessa Williams ( has brought the Craft Australia sustainability blog forum to my attention. If your looking for inspiration or have a great new product it could be a way to show it off and get some feedback.
