Do you need a bench space and workshop access?

Located in the heart of the Surry Hills design precinct, Metalab is a contemporary jewellery gallery offering unique workshop facilites.

As a well-equipped jewellery and design studio we offer workshop access at flexible times and affordable rates to practicing jewellery designer/makers.

This is a great opportunity for intermediate and professional jewellers wanting open access to a well equipped workshop. Access is available for those wishing to work on self directed projects who have experience in jewellery making and understand how to use workshop equipment (not for beginners). You will have access to a bench and use of the workshop tools and equipment.

Available: Open access 11am - 6pm (an earlier start can be arranged for some sessions)
Weekday and Saturday sessions available to be negotiated with Metalab. Please call or email Cesar Cueva to make an appointment during gallery hours. Phone: 8354 1398 Email: cesar@metalab.com.au
Cost: $55 per session

HI Everyone,
My boyfriend and I are both Goldsmiths living and working in Cape Town, SA but we are looking to move to Australia and will probably end up in Sydney to begin with but we are also looking at Melbourne. Any advice on which shops or galleries to approach to stock our work would be great, or even any advice about the industry there would be much appreciated! (Sydney vs Melbourne)

I have my own line of jewellery that I produce full time, and Brett works as the in-house manufacturer for a shop in Cape Town. I would love to continue doing my own thing when I get to Australia, but might have to get a shop job designing or manufacturing for a while in the beginning while we get established, so any helpful advice would go a long way!

Thanks so much.
Tiffany
