- I have been working with metal for many years having learned by watching my father who was an engraver.
This artistic discipline does not require welding or casting so allows for more direct contact and a closer relationship with the raw material. The result is a sinergy of energies between my tools and actions and the shapeless metal.
For sometime I have been working with aluminium, an apparently ordinary metal, chasing light effects and reflections through engraving and the use of precision machinery, always creating pieces based on my original designs.
Before each peice is finished I usually rework it by hand using the tradional tools of the engraver like burin and other hand engraving tools.
This simple and ordinary metal then becomes a precious piece of jewellery revealing all it's purity and lightness that makes it a unique adornment.
