On the 9th of December at a private location in Wellington i will be having a showing of 26 new works visually exploring the blues after a big exhibition and the blossoming nature of tactile materials as my hands re discover them. The works will be gifted to 26 people who understand the language of the highs and lows of exhibiting. This show is intended to refresh and encourage.See More

About
My works are ever evolving, using a wide range of media.

Some times they have been described as energetic wearable sculpture . I like that.
I display works to look firstly like an Object. (This could change.)
Its all fun and games in my head.

I thought i was a painter but time told me i was wrong.

I thought i was a skydiver but i wasn't.

I thought i was a profecional travler but i missed home.

I thought i was a scuba instructer but my bikini didn't fit all year round.

I thought i would give painting another crack but all the paintings turned to garments that turned to sculptures.

Then i discoverd jewellery and who was i kidding, everything was throwin out of the cot for another piece of silver.

Oh just let me stay in the studio longer.

Just let me get another idea out.

oh whats that? a thing i could turn into another thing ohhhhh

It is the best step ever to be involved with the Jewellery community and extended object community.
I Think i just want to study and be involved with collaborations for ever , as i continue to evolve ha ha ha

"In and out of context"

I have been taking my jewellery to the streets and letting the public decide how it should be displayed. The objects have been the most intriuging. All has been a treat.

I am sorry for the late reply. The series of work is called "Enough tears to cry for two" and its a comment on how we handle grief in days society. I have found inspiration and symbolism in the victorian era. All holes for example are hand-drilled and represent times as a healer... Have a look at www.hannahedman. for more work and info! /Hanna
