This was the period when the question of Australian identity in jewellery was most intense.Dorothy Erickson was in it, along with Lyn Tune, Peter Gertler, Phil Noakes, Ray Norman,…See More

Facebook discussion

Hi, I've just started a discussion here at Kit & Caboodle about the affect of Facebook on jewellery. This is part of the Southern Charms project, which beside the exhibition is a broader conversation about the role of 'power jewellery' in contemporary life. I hope to gather the discussion into an article on the subject. Please feel free to share…See More

Aw Schmucks!

It's been a wonderful week for jewellery in Melbourne, particularly with the Schmuck and Johannes Kuhnen exhibitions at RMIT Gallery.

The panel discussion that followed in Friday was very interesting. This was despite the question 'What is contemporary jewellery?' which seemed to puzzle most of the speakers.

Memo to self: when setting a panel topic, remember to discuss this with the speakers.

Dear Dr. Murray,

I would like to ask you about Signs of Change - is it open to people that are non-Australian. I am interested in passing on the pdf to others but would like to make sure as I only came across it by accident.
Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Kevin
Thanks so much for joining.
There is lots of stuff you can do on kit and caboodle - put images, news and events up, ask/answer stuff in the forums, join a group, chat will be happening sometime soon, and yes, you can even pimp your page.
Just remember kit and caboodle is a public network, its aim is promotional, so be sure to only put up personal details that you are comfortable with. There are privacy and email options in the settings.
Anytime you have a problem, or cant work something out, let me know.
Cheers
Cathy
