I'm not sure about any other shows, but our MA show begins on September 11th, if you would like to come.
I will send you an invite nearer the time.

Hi,
I am just finishing up my MA at the moment, so I am lucky to have a really great group of people to exchange ideas with. You have probably come across quite a few of them on here!!!
Birmingham is a great place for jewellery. The council are very keen to help jewellers. There are quite a few opportunities to set up studios and there are initiatives set up to specifically help young makers. We really are extremely lucky!!

Hi Lynsay,
I have really enjoyed looking at your images of your work.
My work is not made out of glass. I use a combination of many materials to create a piece.
The jewellery scene is good in the UK. There is a lot of interesting work being made at the moment!

Hi Lynsay, great to hear from you. This year is ticking away fast already. Am making something for the fringe exhibition Alter-Ego that Vaune Mason is organising, then its off on holiday for 5 weeks and then back to making new works on paper and sculptural works for a mid year show at Solander Gallery..I'm looking at sharing a studio in the not too distant future as working from home has too many distractions. How about you? What are your plans for the year? It would be awesome to catch up. Let me know when you are coming and if I'm around we can organise a dinner with all the other Wellington bods if they're free.

unfortunatley i think ive had more work lost or stolen than ive actually sold,in Australia at least, occasionally i sell something small, im into making it but trying to promote it bores me, now i have a few language barriers to overcome in China , but i think theres more potential here.

There's an awesome pool of like minded people out there. Sounds like you have it sussed. Are you taking part in Hand Stand? I have to make work for that yet and a group jewellery show at Pataka in Porirua. I'm extremely slow to start. I'm looking forward to making minus a brief and following some loose threads of interest in jewellery, sculpture and print. Happy making :-)

I still have one paper to complete this year. I'm working 5 days a fortnight as a nurse and the other five art making. A 5 week break away to refresh myself in May/april and then back into it in June. What are your plans?
