Seems like fun to me to be at a Barbara Heath xmas sale. Its a great reward. Wheres a man with a wallet when you need him.
Yes this site is very much an open sharing place, and its certainly interesting to see the dialogues that are beginning. Jewellery is complex, and this site is a good forum to discuss/read/understand some of those varied themes. Would that we had more, for me it is just a small eye opener, certainly these issues have not been part of my studies so far. Why not???????
hmmmmmmm
Thanks for bringing this up.
KIt and caboodle is not a e-commerce site. I will be sending out info for jewellers that are looking for marketing choices. There are plenty of options out there for emerging designers and jewellers - the online indie designer shops such as Moose, Oye Modern, modamuse, Definite Style are a good starting point. Or there is Etsy or Handmademarket. It takes a while to learn what these options are, luckily I have researched all this - interested jewellers just need to check out the links on the blog www.kitandcaboodle.com.au
Anyhow I will be sending out some ideas on this soon, I agree, with cooperation from jewellers and galleries and those interested, it is the ability to experiment, network and share that could make an exciting difference to the profile of contemporary jewellery. Its great to see that interaction happening already, to see ideas and jewellery that is so much more wonderful and exciting that I could have imagined.
Thanks for your input.
Cheers
Cath
Thanks so much for joining. Its only early, and its great to have some brave souls kick it all off.
There is lots of stuff you can do on kit and caboodle - put images, news and events up, ask/answer stuff in the forums, join a group, chat will be happening sometime soon, and yes, you can even pimp your page.
Just remember kit and caboodle is a public network, its aim is promotional, so be sure to only put up personal details that you are comfortable with. There are privacy and email options in the settings.
Anytime you have a problem, or cant work something out, let me know.
Cheers
Cathy
