That's a good question. I've never really tried to look for the perfect straw. I try to find different straws. Different colours, widths, stripey ones, plain ones, transparent, opaque, I'm pretty lucky there's a nice range out there! A few weeks ago I went to the local woolworths and as usual I went to the picnic ware section. To my surprise the generic packets of plain white straws were filled with beautiful soft pink straws, some packets mixed with white. I could instantly smell and taste strawberries and cream! There must have been a very fortunate stuff up in the production of these straws. Tainted white straws. I thought it was very amusing and exciting! The girl at the counter had to look at the packets twice and asked if  I saw the same. I think it's funny how ordinary objects fascinate us, but I also feel lucky to see the beauty in them. One day you will find the perfect bouncy ball!
