Man on the Moon
Reticulated sterling silver "moon" with .30 white diamond bezel set in 18ct gold embedded on the right and a resin filled ocean on the bottom left. The "Man" is lost wax cast. Gone to a good home I hear.

"Thanks Lauren, I was inspired to do this after doing the David Walker workshop at the Art Gallery of WA. Pity we can't burn plastic anymore at FAC :-( but it will be good for me to push myself with wax and learn some new skills."

May all your clouds have silver linings...
21st present for a certain someone.Hand sawed from recycled sterling silver sheet, pierced and fabricated. Polished to remove masses of firescale and then satin finished. Pretty darn happy. Big thanks to my teacher Nicki Lance!

- Hi Jane,I hav'nt used delft clay.I went to a JMGA workshop on St Sil precious metal clay,Which I realy enjoyed,the PMC was purchased through Reo Grande.I'm away from home so cant tell the date of next meet.They are usually the fourth Monday each month.The October meet is at my studio,and Matt Reed is the guest speacker,on photography of jeweller.Best Wishes Marcus.

thats a damn good idea, wish I had seen it before I went to tonights meeting. I will bring it up next meeting, in fact why dont you come with me, should be early June now. The conference website will be changing to a JMGAWA website, so that may be the way to go. Talk to me when next you are in the shop, I could do with some IT advice of my own too.
Oh didn't realise that was your piece at the JMGA exhbition until I just saw in on your slideshow, I really liked it a lot, one of my favourites. Seems like mighty fine soldering skills to me.
