By example presents a view of Australian contemporary jewellery through the lens of the processes of learning. It draws attention initially to the transference of knowledge not as a didactic method but through the relationship of the mentor to the learner. At the same time it provides a ‘cultural snapshot’ of Australian jewellery through the work of the forty-two artists presented here, a collection of more than two hundred pieces of jewellery.See More

Two Woman Show at Galerie Kirsch

I'm off tomorrow morning to set up an exhibition at Galerie Kirsch, a craft gallery on the outskirts of Tokyo.

The other girl that's exhibiting with me is Asuka Matsukawa, a metalsmith from Kanazawa. She specialises in Japanese alloys and produces beautiful work.

If all goes to plan then I'll rendezvous with Sean O and Ro in central Tokyo before heading home on the overnight bus back to… Continue

Hi Rui,
My name is Hannah Ren, from Melbourne. I am also a jeweller, I graduated with my master degree from RMIT university last year. I have recently moved to Beijing and had the pleasure of meeting Mr Jurio Fujita, and he gave me your name for me to contact. Your work is lovely, and simple. Keep up the good work!
Regards
Hannah

Dear Rui
Certainly you are welcome to send a proposal in for the Signs of Change exhibition. Let me know if there's anything particular your like to discuss.
Cheers

Hi
Thanks so much for joining. Its only early, and its great to have some brave souls kick it all off.
There is lots of stuff you can do on kit and caboodle - put images, news and events up, ask/answer stuff in the forums, join a group, chat will be happening sometime soon, and yes, you can even pimp your page.
Just remember kit and caboodle is a public network, its aim is promotional, so be sure to only put up personal details that you are comfortable with. There are privacy and email options in the settings.
Anytime you have a problem, or cant work something out, let me know.
Cheers
Cathy
