In my past life I was a pilot, flying here in Australia and also through Europe and Africa. This has influenced my work, which is very textured copying the topography of the land below me.
After leaving aviation behind,I did a Fine Arts degree at Curtin University here in Western Autralia and graduated in 2004.
Since then I have exibited in the U.K,had two galleries in Hamburg accept my work and have had a few exibition here in Perth, sharing one with Robert Juniper a well known Autralian artist. In 2009 I obtained a Advanced Diploma in Jewellery and Object Design at TAFE here in Perth.
I live in Darlinton a suburb in the hills in Perth where I have my studio.

Fantastc work -just love it all. Closed shop - had bad reation to drugs. Found another hospital doing final trials on new drug they are going to put me on. If that doesn't work still have option of going back on toxic cure. So things are looking up. Husband has bolted in my "hour of need". Him gone makes me feel lots better, he was dragging me down and not of any assistance. Am doing books for Tax Dept. then back into bashing some metal. After settlement with ex I'm going to have holiday, hope you've got a spare corner where I can "lay my swag down". Keep in touch, just looking at your work inspires me. All the best. Janet
Hi Willem, thats okay, we have a chat next time, it was a very busy weekend and lots to see and good to see so many familiar faces... i found it all very inspiring, did the karl fritsch workshop down here last weekend, it was great to do sth so differe3nt and with very simple means, try the potato casting...thorouighly enjoyed it and met some good people from down here....it can be a bit isolated so very important for me to get out and see other peoples work. Stay in touch!
finally got back on here and took the time to look at your work.
Some really lovely pieces!
I'm all fired up following the three days of the conference and then the bus tour today.
I still have Karl's casting workshop to enjoy, starting tomorrow.
Things have really started to come together for me at last. I hope you continue to do well with your own work.
Would love to catch up properly sometime soon and see what you've been doing since the end of last year.
Cheers,
Betty
