I am thinking of doing Young Blood at the end of November if I get in. Other than that no plans. How is Uni going? I am working at getting a web site up. Its gruelling... There is so much to think of I didn't think it would be this time consuming. I have renewed enthusiasm for my practice at the moment, spurned on from my loathing of nursing. It hit a new height. I gotta make the jewellery business financially viable or die basically. I would like to have a bevvy with you if I am in twon in November.
ciao! kat

There are a lot of environmental considerations when making jewellery. Contemporary jewellery can make this easier by giving us a wider range of materials to work with but there is still so much research needed because we have all been taught to use chemicals in our work and al ot of the time don't even realise when we do. Thanks for getting in contact and if I can ever help with anything let me know.

Hi Zara

Its great to have you join up.

There is lots of stuff you can do on kit and caboodle - put images, news and events up, ask/answer stuff in the forums, join a group and yes, you can even pimp your page. Its easy to move elements around and to change the format of your page.

Just remember kit and caboodle is a public network, its aim is promotional, so be sure to only put up personal details that you are comfortable with. There are privacy and email options in the settings. (Gazillions of kit and caboodle emails in your inbox driving you bonkers? Check out how to fix that in FAQ on the right.)

Kit and caboodle is an ideal place to put up posts about exhibitions or any current news that you have. There is a lot of interest in the network. It would be great if you posted regularly in the blog, you can choose to have blog posts on your page and/or on the front page. Add some images and links too.

Also dont forget to join our facebook page. Say hi to Sonya.

Most of all, there are lots of opportunities to network with other jewellers, outlets, galleries and to see what is happening in the world of contemporary jewellery. It should be fun. Anytime you have a problem, or cant work something out, let me know.

Cheers
Cathy
