Calling for Submissions - Annual Christmas Showcase

[Studio 20/17]

STUDIO 20/17 is calling for expressions of interest for original and well made contemporary jewellery for the gallery’s 2011 Christmas gift showcase. Opening 29^th November 2011 and running through until Christmas Eve, it provides an excellent opportunity to showcase and sell new work during this busy period.

Your expression of interest should include:

- Resume

- Artist Statement (the theme behind the work, inspirations, materials etc)

- List of work you intend to submit (with materials and pricing info – RRP please, please note: Studio 20/17 takes 50% commission on retail price)

- Up to 5 JPEG images (either of the work you intend to submit, or previous work, with a detailed description of the work you intend to submit). PLEASE keep image sizes under 500kb if sending by email.

IMAGES: If sending high resolution and low res images please ensure high res are 425 pixels on the longest side and 300dpi, Low res 484 pixels wide and 340 pixels high. We use the images for promotional purposes and only professional quality images will be able to be used. If you would like your work promoted, it’s in your interest to provide good quality images. All images must have a title, date of work, materials and photo credit.

Note: Selected artists are required to provide a MINIMUM of 5 works. Ideally, work would be able to be restocked when purchased. For existing gallery artists, priority will be given to chose submitting a new body of work. Selected artists will be required to contribute a fee of $28 each to help cover the costs of installation and opening night celebrations.

19^th August 2011 Selected artists informed.
9^th September 2011 Confirmation of place and fee required by Selected Artists.
11^th November 2011 Selected artist’s work required in the gallery with completed paperwork.
